Our Story

Rooted in love, built for lasting impact.

AFYA founder portrait

AFYA began with a personal journey of love, worry, and determination. When founder Nanyonjo Noeline saw the daily struggles families face around sickle cell disease, she made a promise: no child would walk this road alone.

From clinic guidance and early screening to school advocacy and family support, AFYA is turning pain into purpose and uncertainty into hope.

Today, our work is powered by compassion, community trust, and collaborations with medical professionals who understand the realities of sickle cell care.
